JLL has announced two promotions and a recent hire as part of the ongoing growth of its Morristown-based capital markets office.

The firm said it has elevated Valerie Sanchez to art director. Previously a senior graphic designer, she joined the former HFF team in 2015 and remained there after it was acquired by JLL, boasting more than 10 years of experience working in marketing and graphic design.
Sanchez holds a master’s in communication, new media and marketing, from Southern New Hampshire University, the firm said, adding that she has worked in the medical and performing arts fields doing social media marketing and design, while she has also worked as a freelance designer.

Additionally, JLL’s suburban tristate capital markets team said it promoted Sydney Gutherz to senior graphic designer. The former graphic designer started with HFF in 2018, having earned a bachelor’s in political science from Rider University.
Gutherz has more than four years of experience working in marketing and graphic design and nine years working in real estate.
The firm, meantime, recently hired Jessica Encalada as a graphic designer. She previously worked as a graphic designer for a sportswear apparel company in Edison, having graduated from Adelphi University in 2020 with a bachelor’s in fine arts.

Sanchez, Gutherz and Encalada are part of the team that is responsible for all marketing materials and designs, from email marketing, deal presentations and deal offering packages, JLL said. The firm added that they work closely with the analysts and producers to create best-in-class marketing materials for their clients.
“We are so pleased to have a truly spectacular graphics team that produces an amazing work product but also provides guidance on multiple aspects of our business,” said Jose Cruz, a JLL senior managing director and co-head of its New Jersey capital markets office. “Their experience and work ethic are greatly appreciated.”
