Sitar Realty has expanded its brokerage team with two recent additions, the Woodbridge-based firm announced Monday.
The newest hires include Luan “Lun” Kichen, a sales associate who specializes in business development and medical, office and investment properties, according to Sitar. Prior to joining the firm, he was a broker in high-end radiology imaging equipment for more than seven years, buying and selling systems of different makes and models to hospitals and physicians, both domestically and internationally.
“This position led him to become very familiar with the medical sector of commercial real estate,” Sitar wrote in his bio. “Now, Mr. Kichen provides the same superior brokerage service, but as an adviser for commercial real estate throughout New Jersey.”
Kichen graduated from West Chester University with a degree in exercise physiology with a concentration in pre-physical therapy. He is a lifetime member of CHHANGE at the Center for Holocaust, Human Rights and Genocide Education at Brookdale Community College, the firm said, noting that he is also an avid tennis and pickle ball player.
Another recent hire, Melissa Matovsky-Whalen, joined Sitar this past spring as a senior director, the firm said. She brings more than 12 years of expertise in property management, leasing and sales across multiple asset classes.
“Her comprehensive understanding of the leasing process and meticulous attention to detail enable her to tailor solutions that perfectly align with her clients’ needs and objectives,” Sitar wrote. “As a relationship builder, Melissa places great importance on fostering strong connections with her clients. By developing a deep understanding of their goals and preferences, she ensures the provision of outstanding service with a personalized approach.”
Matovsky-Whalen is a licensed New Jersey real estate salesperson, having also received her degree in social sciences from Brookdale Community College, while she was pursuing a bachelor’s in sociology at Thomas Edison State University. Additionally, she is a certified holistic health and wellness coach, with an emphasis on yoga.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Matovsky-Whalen has a special interest in fostering children and actively supports initiatives that aim to provide a nurturing environment, Sitar said. She is active with the Boys & Girls Club of Monmouth County, the local food pantry and Habitat for Humanity.
