Larken Associates has brought a martial arts studio to a Warren County retail property after completing a lease for nearly 3,000 square feet.
In a news release, the firm said the deal with Action Karate brings its Strykers Crossing Shopping Center in Lopatcong to 100 percent occupancy. The tenant, which has more than 30 locations in four states across the U.S., will offer martial arts and karate classes that cater to adults, children of all martial arts ability levels and students with special needs.
Rob Marek, executive vice president of Larken Associates’ Raider Realty division, represented ownership in the 2,791-square-foot deal at 201 Stryker Road. Chris Mao of Elite Realtors of New Jersey represented the tenant.
“Reaching 100 percent occupancy at Strykers Crossing Shopping Center is a testament to Lopatcong’s desirability to both tenants and residents and the center’s premier location nearby many of the area’s residential offerings,” Marek said. “We’re happy to welcome another tenant that will have a positive impact on the local community and continue to make Strykers Crossing Shopping Center one of the area’s most desirable retail locations.”
Strykers Crossing Shopping Center is a two-building neighborhood property with 30,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space, Larken said. The site is adjacent to several of Larken Associates’ other properties including Autumn Ridge at Lopatcong, a 198-unit, luxury apartment complex, as well as the two-building 12,904-square-foot medical and daycare complex known as Strykers Plaza and Greenwich Commons, a 42,896-square-foot medical and professional office space in nearby Stewartsville.
The center is also close to major thoroughfares such as routes 22 and 57 and Interstate 78, the news release said. Action Karate joins a list of tenants at Strykers Crossing that includes H&R Block and the UPS Store, as well as local businesses such as The Styling Pooch Pet Services & Supplies.
