Larken Associates has broken ground on a project that will add 50,000 square feet to its portfolio of flex industrial space in Flemington.
The firm, which is based in nearby Branchburg, said it was planning a late 2024 delivery for its Flemington Junction Business Center II at 20 Minneakoning Road. The project is rising just off Route 31 and a half-mile from Larken’s original Flemington Junction Business Center, which spans 150,000 square feet at 115 River Road and is fully leased across its four buildings.
The new space will also provide tenants with quick access to routes 22 and 202 and interstates 78 and 287.
“Over the past several years, Hunterdon County has continued to emerge as a commercial hub for businesses of all sizes across a wide range of industries,” said Rob Marek, executive vice president of Larken Associates’ commercial division. “We are excited to bring in-demand industrial space to the local market and continue to grow our expansive commercial portfolio throughout the region.”
Managed by Core Enterprises, Larken’s in-house construction team, Flemington Junction Business Center II will have 32-foot clear ceiling heights, 41- by 50-foot column spacing, heavy power, LED warehouse lighting, 360-degree site circulation, heavy floor load and designated loading docks and drive-ins, according to a news release. Units start at 3,125 square feet and can be coupled to facilitate any size up to 50,000 square feet.
