America’s Best Contacts & Eyeglasses has taken 3,600 square feet at a community shopping center in Mercer County, according to a leasing team with Levin Management Corp.
The optical retailer, one of the country’s largest in its category, comes to the 355,000-square-foot Capitol Plaza in Ewing alongside anchors Forman Mills, American Furniture and Marshall’s, , LMC said. It also joins a host of others, including national retailers and service and restaurant tenants, at the intersection of heavily traveled Route 206 and North Olden Avenue.
LMC Leasing Representative Fred Younkin represented ownership, while David Dunkelman of Soloff Realty & Development represented the tenant.
“We are thrilled to welcome America’s Best Contacts & Eyeglasses to Capitol Plaza,” Younkin said. “This is a respected, nationally recognized brand and represents a new retail category for the property. We are pleased to add this high-quality vision care option for the community and another strong traffic driver for the shopping center.”
In announcing the deal, LMC noted that America’s Best Contacts & Eyeglasses combines eyewear and eye care into one experience at a low price, according to the company’s website. Headquartered in metro Atlanta, the chain currently has more than 900 stores in 31 states plus the District of Columbia and is adding more stores each year.
LMC currently is marketing available retail spaces at the site of 3,900, 5,850 and 8,100 square feet. It noted that the property draws 1.6 million visits per year, citing real-time traffic data from Placer.ai, and serves a growing residential population of more than 163,000 people within a three-mile radius.
