A salon suite franchise has added another location with a newly signed lease at Howell’s Aldrich Plaza, in a newly announced deal by Levin Management Corp.
According to the leasing team, MY SALON Suite has taken 7,900 square feet at the 128,000-square-foot complex, which sits on Route 9 just south of Aldrich Road. The space will be among more than 250 locations across the United States and Canada, while it will be operated by an existing franchisee that owns a location in Old Bridge.
LMC Leasing Representative Kendal Hand-Freda and Senior Leasing Representative E.J. Moawad represented ownership, while Frank Greco of Savills represented the tenant, which offers turnkey suites with high-end luxury amenities and salon equipment.
“Personal care and services concepts have been a bright spot in the leasing landscape. Within that category the salon suites franchise market is growing, which speaks to the success of MY SALON Suite’s forward thinking-concept,” Hand-Freda said. “Aldrich Plaza’s strong tenant mix — particularly the presence of professional beauty supply store SalonCentric — was a key factor in attracting this business operator. In turn, this terrific traffic driver complements our in-place retail mix and is sure to see great success at this location.”
Anchored by Walgreens, Aldrich Plaza draws almost 1 million visits per year, LMC said, citing real-time traffic data from Placer.ai. The center’s national and regional tenants include Retro Fitness, GNC, AT&T, Bubbakoo’s Burritos, Norman’s Hallmark, RE/MAX real estate, Big City Bagels & Salads and Boston Market, while it’s also home to neighborhood conveniences such as a dentist, a pizzeria, a Chinese restaurant and an optician, among others.
