A chicken wing franchise is set to join the roster at a Union City retail center, following a newly completed lease announced by Levin Management Corp.
The Dallas-based chain, Wingstop, will occupy 1,400 square feet at Union City Plaza at the intersection of John F. Kennedy Boulevard and 21st Street. It is the latest store for the franchisees, Vishal and Kartik Patel, who also operate locations in Elizabeth and Ewing.
LMC noted that the fast-casual, aviation-themed restaurant operates and franchises some 1,500 restaurants worldwide, offering classic wings, boneless wings and tenders in multiple flavors, among other menu items.
“Fast-casual chains continue to perform well, and we are excited to bring a global restaurant brand like Wingstop to Union City Plaza,” said Vanessa Fernandez-Kelty, a senior leasing representative with LMC. “This brand has a strong following and will benefit from the property’s excellent demographics and strong daily traffic, as well as its proximity to Union City High School. Wingstop is a great fit for this neighborhood.”
LMC leases and manages Union City Plaza, an 18,000-square-foot center that is also home to Dollar General and Union City Speedwash.
“With this newest location, we look forward to becoming part of the Union City community,” Vishal Patel said.
