A warehouse and trucking company has taken more than 250,000 square feet of modern industrial space in Gloucester County, brokers with CBRE announced Wednesday.
The leasing team said the East Greenwich building, located at 191 Harmony Road, will support Champion Services’ continued growth on the East Coast and provide it with quick highway access and a strong local labor pool. The company will occupy the entire 252,750-square-foot building, part of the East Greenwich Logistics Center, with features such as 36-foot clear ceiling heights, 38 tailgate doors and modern sprinklers.
CBRE’s Dan McGovern, Andrew Green and Paul Touhey represented ownership, while Scott Mertz of NAI Mertz represented Champion Services.
“East Greenwich Logistics Center is located less than one mile from Exit 17 of toll-free Interstate 295,” McGovern said. “Due to the site’s location and ownership, our team saw great demand from local, regional and national occupiers. The southern New Jersey marketplace, due to its location, labor pool and quick access to Philadelphia and New York, continues to see record demand for both new and existing product.”
The deal follows Watson Land Co.’s 2021 purchase of the East Greenwich Logistics Center, a newly built complex spanning more than 535,000 square feet across two buildings. The portfolio, which traded for $107.74 million, also includes 100 Huff Lane.
