A veteran New Jersey commercial real estate lender has returned to Valley Bank after beginning his career at the Wayne-based company.
In a news release, Valley said Christopher Hawkswell joins its team as a first vice president in its commercial real estate division, with plans to leverage his experience and relationships to further expand its portfolio for the New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania regions. He brings 20 years of industry experience that includes positions with Investors Bank, Connect One Bank and M&T Bank, having started with Valley in 2002 as a management associate and credit analyst.
“We welcome Chris back to Valley and are excited to have him bring his industry knowledge and professional approach to our Commercial Real Estate Group,” said Chris Coiley, Valley’s first senior vice president and commercial mortgage division head of New York in New Jersey.
Hawkswell holds a bachelor’s in marketing from Bloomsburg University and an MBA in finance from Montclair State University.
