An investor has acquired a nearly 18,000-square-foot mixed-use building in downtown Somerville for $4.2 million, in a newly announced deal by Marcus & Millichap.

According to a news release, the property at 28-32 West Main St. includes 10 apartments and two ground-floor retail units that are home to Provident Bank and Gallery on Main. The 17,600-square-foot building is fully occupied, the brokers noted, adding that it has on-site parking and benefits from a location in the heart of the central business district.

Marcus & Millichap’s Brent Hyldahl and Alan Cafiero represented the seller and procured the buyer, Greg Albert of Harborpoint Residential.

“Properties we list in Somerville always attract significant investor interest,” said Hyldahl, a first vice president of investments with Marcus. “This property underwent extensive renovations in 2016 and has been exceptionally well-maintained. We’re happy to have successfully facilitated the sale for both the buyer and seller.”
