CenterPoint has filled more than 10,000 square feet in Jersey City with a newly completed lease with United Refrigeration Inc., brokers with NAI James E. Hanson said Friday.
According to the agency team, the deal at 106 Harbor Drive will allow the wholesale distributor of HVAC and refrigeration equipment, parts and supplies to support its expanding operations in the region from a location that’s just four miles from New Jersey Turnpike Exit 14A. That provides it with easy access to destinations such as Port Newark-Elizabeth, the Port of Bayonne, Newark Liberty International Airport and New York City, while the 64,036-square-foot building has features such as 20-foot ceiling heights, nine exterior docks, 40 car parking spaces and nine trailer parking spaces.
NAI Hanson senior vice presidents Russell J. Verducci and Eric Demmers and Associate Colin Goldstein represented the landlord in the 10,400-square-foot transaction. They noted that United Refrigeration, which was founded in 1947 and is based in Philadelphia, supports contractors, service professionals and commercial operators with an extensive inventory of products, technical expertise and reliable local branch support across 45 states and Canada.
“The property’s location near the region’s ports, highways and major transportation corridors was a key driver in the transaction,” Goldstein said. “For a distribution user like United Refrigeration, access and efficiency are critical, and 106 Harbor Drive delivers on both.”
