A family-owned clothing accessories business has leased nearly 25,000 square feet of industrial space in Ramsey, in a newly announced deal by NAI James E. Hanson.
The business, Marcus Adler, is relocating to 91 Grant St. from New York City to enable it to transition from utilizing a third-party logistics operator to handling distribution and fulfillment internally, according to a news release. It’s now set to occupy the 24,550-square-foot building off Route 17 North under a deal with RW Ramsey Realty Corp., the landlord.
NAI Hanson’s Andrew Somple and Jessica Curry represented the tenant, a third-generation business specializing in accessories such as gloves, hats and scarves. They noted that the Ramsey building has 3,230 square feet of office space, two 8- by 10-foot tailgates, one 10- by 10-foot drive-in and easy access to Route 202, Interstate 287 and the New York Thruway.
The building also offers 43 parking spaces on a recently repaved parking lot and is zoned for outdoor storage.
“This relocation is part of a growing trend we’ve seen of businesses moving from New York to New Jersey,” Somple said. “91 Grant Street’s easy access to many of the region’s major roadways made it a terrific fit for Marcus Adler as they set out to redefine their logistics operations. We’re happy to have helped a family business secure the space they need to begin the next chapter of their journey and we wish them continued success.”
