A developer has filled two new industrial buildings in Piscataway with commitments totaling nearly 28,000 square feet, in a set of deals arranged by NAI DiLeo-Bram & Co.
In the larger deal, Stelton Sports took 17,500 square feet at 527 Stelton Road, where it will operate a recreational facility with four pickleball courts, two badminton courts and batting cages for baseball, softball and cricket. NAIDB’s Kelly Bayer and Robert V. DiLeo represented ownership, noting that the building has 20-foot clear ceiling heights and abundant on-site parking.
The team also secured a 10,000-square-foot lease at 547 Stelton Road from The Commencement Group, according to a news release. The supplier of flowers and graduation-related products has relocated from Newark to the property, which has five drive-in doors, 20-foot clear ceiling heights and abundant parking.
John Gianis and Tim Cadigan of Avison Young represented the tenant.
“We had strong demand from tenants who wanted to locate their businesses at this location,” said DiLeo, a sales associate with NAIDB. “As a result, we were able to prelease each building to single-tenant users as the buildings were being constructed.”
The firm noted that both buildings were completed in 2023 and are located between Interstate 287 exits 5 and 6, providing modern supply in one of the state’s most active submarkets.
“Demand for warehouse space has remained strong across central New Jersey, and there is very limited new product available in this size range,” said Bayer, an associate vice president.
