A new restaurant has taken nearly 4,600 square feet at the base of an apartment building in western Hoboken, in a newly announced deal by RIPCO Real Estate.
In a news release, the brokerage team said BYRD is now open at 800 Jackson St., noting that it is the sister restaurant of Common Lot in Millburn. The eatery’s 4,585-square-foot space includes outdoor seating and benefits from what RIPCO described as extensive cosmetic renovations, while the operator has secured a liquor license for the business.
RIPCO’s Deborah Stone represented the landlord, having taken the assignment after a series of restaurants had struggled after leasing the space.
“BYRD is the prime tenant for this space,” said Stone, an executive managing director with RIPCO. “With its stylish decor, excellent food and casual atmosphere, it promises to be a hub for the neighborhood and its families. BYRD is the ideal operator to join the neighborhood, bringing years of experience and a commitment to the communities that they inhabit that ensure its success.”
The restaurant joins the recent additions of Gotan Café, StretchLabs and Body Fit Training at neighboring 770 Jackson St.
