The New Jersey Apartment Association has made two promotions within its Monroe-based administrative team.

Kelly Ryan, who has been with the organization for five years, is now its director of membership. In her role, she directs the organization’s membership recruitment efforts, on-boards new members, engages with the National Apartment Association on national membership initiatives and manages the publication of NJAA’s membership magazine, among other projects.
Ryan has been in the field of association management for 15 years.

Meantime, the NJAA has elevated Sarah Shaw to education manager, the group said. She manages the association’s education classes, which includes recruiting instructors from across the nation, helping set curriculum and guiding members through the national designation and continuing education credentials process with NAA.
Shaw, who has been with the organization for three years, also manages many of its digital efforts, according to a news release. Over the past year, she directed the association’s quick shift to online classes in response to COVID-19 regulations.
“I am enormously proud of what Kelly and Sarah have accomplished, not only in the face of COVID-19, but throughout their careers here at NJAA,” said David Brogan, NJAA’s executive director. “Their hard work and professionalism not only furthers our mission as an association, but truly shows what you can accomplish in response to a national crisis like COVID-19. It’s an honor to work alongside this team.”
