A top trade association has honored Spencer Savings Bank for its ongoing support of community organizations and nonprofits, the Elmwood Park-based lender announced.
Presented by the New Jersey Bankers Association, the Community Service Award recognizes companies that exhibit outstanding efforts in improving the lives of New Jersey citizens and the communities in which they live, according to a news release. Spencer is this year’s recipient of the honor, have also received it in 2019, 2017, 2016 and 2013.
In announcing the distinction, Spencer added that it provides financial support through charitable donations that help create and sustain the wellbeing of its communities, while its employees are frequent volunteers to provide direct hands-on support.
