J.G. Petrucci Co. Inc. has broken ground in East Windsor on a new facility for Aurobindo Pharma USA Inc., in what will be the latest piece of the drugmaker’s campus in the township.
According to the construction team, the 170,000-square-foot project at 203 Windsor Center Drive will help Aurobindo meet the health care industry’s growing demands while adhering to the company’s stringent sustainability goals. Those objectives have shaped a design that prioritizes operational efficiency and adaptability to accommodate future innovations, ensuring that the company remains at the forefront of pharmaceutical advancements.
“It is an exciting time breaking ground on our third facility and being a part of this moment in Aurobindo’s growth,” said Swami S. Iyer, CEO of Aurobindo Pharma USA. “We are grateful for the collaboration and expertise of Petrucci, whose partnership ensures that this project will meet the evolving needs of our customers and the industry.”
The companies joined East Windsor Mayor Janice S. Minorov and other township officials recently for a ceremonial groundbreaking, touting the project as an example of successful public-private collaboration, according to a news release. They also highlighted the economic and community benefits that the expansion will bring to East Windsor.
“The Aurobindo team is professional, knowledgeable and great to work with,” said Joe Petrucci, project executive at Asbury-based Petrucci. “We are proud to support their continued growth in East Windsor.”
