A shopping center on Route 206 in Hillsborough is now fully leased after new commitment by an Indian restaurant, in a deal arranged by Pierson Commercial.
The brokerage team represented The Heller Group, the owner of what’s known as Nelson’s Corner, in the 3,453-square-foot transaction with Persis Biryani Indian Grill. It’s the sixth vacancy that Pierson Commercial has filled since taking over the leasing assignment at 601 Route 206, with new tenants also including Atlantic Health, Nelson’s Corner Laundromat, Burnout Cigars & Smoke and Poke Bowl Hillsborough.
The firm’s Gregg Medvin spearheaded the assignment.
“I am ecstatic that Nelson’s Corner is 100 percent occupied,” said Seth Harrington, director of leasing at the Heller Group. “This marks a return to dominance for the shopping center, and I am pleased for the community. We have great space here at the best corner in Hillsborough, with an assorted ensemble of hard-working and valued tenants. We worked seamlessly with Gregg Medvin and the team at Pierson.”
In a news release, Pierson noted that Nelson’s Corner was 88 percent occupied when it became the leasing agent. The ShopRite-anchored property is now leased up thanks in part to its location at the busy intersection of Route 206 and Amwell Road, while it offers a wide range of services and products to residents of Hillsborough and surrounding communities.
Other tenants include Fulton Bank, Hallmark, Home Wines & Marketplace, Mathnasium, Pet Supplies Plus and Verizon.
“We are thrilled to have achieved full occupancy at Nelson’s Corner,” said Medvin, an executive vice president with Marlboro-based Pierson Commercial. “The strong demand for space in this prime location is a strong testament to the robust retail market in Hillsborough, but also the current commercial real estate retail market in New Jersey. We look forward to continued success and growth in Hillsborough and its support for its residents.”
