The Marlboro-based practice known as Private Lender Law is teaming with a digital loan management platform in a bid to further streamline its closing services for clients.

The group, led by Jonathan L. Hornik of LaRocca Hornik Rosen & Greenberg LLP, said its joint venture and integration partnership with Toronto-based Mortgage Automator will provide growth opportunities for both parties. Those include providing a new digitized, automated solution for Private Lender Law, while providing a chance for Mortgage Automator to gain a larger foothold in the U.S.

To that end, the latter has built a connection to directly link its clients to Private Lender Law, allowing them to deliver loan files to the practice with a push of a button.

“For us, Mortgage Automator represents a game-changer for our private lender clients,” said Henker, Private Lender Law’s founder. “By leveraging their expertise and technology, our firm will now have the capability to provide our already industry-leading nationwide closing services even quicker, along with other enhanced execution capabilities and a premium focus on accuracy.”

Private Lender Law, whose services include everything from loan closings and foreclosure and workout advice to licensing and regulatory review, has worked on more than $30 billion in closings to date, according to a news release. For its part, Mortgage Automator has served as a platform for more than $10 billion in loans, providing a convenient interface and step-by-step processes that are adjustable to the unique needs of the user.

“While we had proven ourselves in the Canadian market, we were focused on winning over the U.S.-based industry as well,” said Joseph Fooks, co-founder of Mortgage Automator. “That momentous turning point for our team came in 2021 when we won Innovator of the Year at the Pitbull Conference. The perfect next step for Mortgage Automator in the U.S. is to connect with the top U.S. law firm in the private lending space, Private Lender Law, led by (Hornik) and his entire team.”

Hornik added: “I think the key here is that Mortgage Automator will now populate Private Lender Law’s extensive loan documents, nationwide — becoming the sole pipeline and prep tool for our clients. What this essentially means is the quickest closing law firm in the country is now even faster.”
