A veteran construction and commercial real estate executive in New Jersey has joined Legend Properties as a senior sales associate.
Headquartered in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania, the retail brokerage said Joseph Langan will serve as an agent in the northern New Jersey market. He comes to the firm with three decades of industry experience, including 28 years as a principal and president of River Drive Construction Co. having built and managed projects valued at more than $200 million.
In announcing the hire, Legend Properties said Langan has built everything from offices and apartments to health care, science and technology space. Some of his notable projects with River Drive include the mixed-use, $100 million project in Elmwood Park spanning River Drive Center, Riverfront Center and Riverwalk, along with renovations for Kaplen JCC on the Palisades in Tenafly.
His other past clients have included Verizon Wireless, Mack Cali Realty Corp., CBRE and others across multiple asset classes, according to a news release. In addition, Langan has co-promoted and co-developed more than $75 million worth of commercial real estate projects.
Langan graduated from Villanova University in 1987 with a bachelor’s in civil engineering and completed his master’s in real estate development and investment from New York University in 1990. Through his subsidiary, Langan Energy Solutions, he has also provided third-party energy procurement services as well as energy efficiency and solar projects to clients through channel partners.
