A new restaurant is coming to a mixed-use property on Route 46 in Rockaway Borough, according to a leasing and management team with Azarian Realty Co.

The operator, La Casa Del Taco, will occupy a 1,500-square-foot space at Mountain Plaza that was formerly occupied by Subway, Azarian said in a news release. The location at 170 Route 46 will be its third, following two in Hackettstown, offering casual quick-service restaurant offerings like tacos, tortas, soups, dinner platters and other Mexican street food options.

Kevin Pelio of Azarian Realty Co. represented both parties in the deal, which brings the 7,229-square-foot strip center to full occupancy. The property, whose other tenants include Hot Tips Nail Lounge, Brushh Crussh, Good Guy Vapes and Massage 4 All, also has five apartments above the retail section.
