Seagis Property Group has secured a full-building tenant for more than 200,000 square feet of newly renovated industrial space in East Rutherford.
According to the landlord, an undisclosed logistics firm will occupy the warehouse at 13 Manor Road, benefiting from its Meadowlands location and features such as 22-foot clear ceiling heights, 16 docks, parking for 84 cars and active rail to the building. The deal follows the completion of renovations in the first quarter of this year, which helped energize a former manufacturing facility that Seagis acquired in 2006.
The 202,490-square-foot building is minutes from New York City and has quick access to major roadways including the New Jersey Turnpike and routes 3, 46 and 17.
“We are pleased to complete the repositioning of this asset and welcome our new customer to the building,” said Tyler Baker, a vice president with Seagis and member of its New Jersey team. “We were able to transform an old, Class B Meadowlands manufacturing facility into a modern warehouse facility that is now fully leased to a local, logistics group with a long-term presence in New Jersey. Ultimately, this is a great outcome for the building and our customer.”
Seagis, which is based in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania, said it has started construction on a 167,000-square-foot speculative warehouse development at 200 Hollister Road in Teterboro, which will add to its expansive footprint in the Meadowlands submarket.
