Fast-casual restaurant stir fry and salad chain honeygrow has signed a lease at a new development in Old Bridge, where it will join a host of other retail tenants and more than 1,000 homes under construction along Route 9.
The Philadelphia-based eatery is taking an undisclosed amount of space at the planned Glenwood Green shopping center at the Schulmeister Road intersection. It’s slated to open in late spring 2024, serving as the company’s sixth location in New Jersey following stores in Cherry Hill, Marlton, Hamilton, New Brunswick and Hoboken.
In Old Bridge, honeygrow will operate alongside new Target and ShopRite stores in a pedestrian-friendly, lifestyle-focused shopping center that will feature both local and national brands, according to a news release. Regency Centers Corp. is developing the 30-acre project, which is adjacent to more than 1,200 new homes now under construction.
Jeff Howard and Matt Grundy of RIPCO Real Estate represented honeygrow in the transaction. The company added that Glenwood Green location will be a lynchpin to expanding the its presence throughout the state, bridging brand awareness between southern and northern New Jersey, while bringing more than 35 full- and part-time jobs to the shopping center.
“The Glenwood Green location is a natural next step for honeygrow to strengthen our brand presence throughout New Jersey and bridge the gap between existing honeygrow restaurants in the Northeast corridor,” said Justin Rosenberg, the company’s founder and CEO. “We are thrilled to introduce honeygrow to Old Bridge and to continue to exceed our guests’ expectations in providing craveable, creative and healthy meal options.”
In announcing the deal, honeygrow noted that its menu includes six year-round stir-fry dishes and five hearty and healthy salads, along with create-your-own versions of both.
