Bluestone Lane, the Australian café concept, is coming to Bergen Town Center in Paramus under a newly completed lease with Urban Edge Properties.
According to a news release, the chain is taking 2,400 square feet at the upscale, 1 million-square-foot mall property just south of Route 4. It will occupy space across from Whole Foods Market, serving breakfast and lunch with full table service as part of a fast-growing concept that has more than 60 cafes in major cities across the U.S.
Taryn Brandes, Emily Green and Alexandra Yanoff of Brand Urban LLC represented Urban Edge Properties, while Daniel Bodner of Alvarez & Marsal Property Solutions and Daniel Zappala of RIPCO Real Estate represented Bluestone Lane.
“Bluestone’s combination of full-service and to-go options brings a terrific all-day concept for our consumers and neighbors,” said Josh Birns, vice president of leasing for Urban Edge. “Leasing momentum at Bergen Town Center continues to demonstrate the enormous value of this property in attracting premium and growing brands such as Bluestone Lane.”
In announcing the deal, Urban Edge noted that Bluestone Lane has a to-go component and full table service, offering all day breakfast, brunch and lunch. Popular items include toasts, bowls, wraps, salads, pastries and other breakfast-style food.
“We are thrilled to bring Bluestone Lane’s unique café experience to Bergen Town Center and become a valued addition to this thriving community,” said Nick Stone, CEO of Bluestone Lane. “Across our 60-plus destinations, we are committed to creating a personalized daily ritual for our locals, and we are excited to continue this in Bergen, bringing our premium coffee and healthy menu to new locals. We look forward to serving the community with a world-class hospitality experience and contributing to the vibrancy of this destination.”
Bergen Town Center, which straddles Paramus and Maywood, generates more than 11 million visits annually thanks in part to anchors such as Whole Foods, Target and CVS. It’s also home to a mix of outlets and other locations for a host of national operators.
