Violet PR has promoted Christina Forrest to vice president, touting her role in growing the Montclair-based firm since joining its team nearly a decade ago.
The agency, which represents several commercial real estate owners, economic development organizations, architectural and engineering firms, said Forrest has led more than 20 award-winning campaigns. She’s done so while securing coverage in outlets such as NBC’s Today Show, Forbes, CNN, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, The New York Times, ABC News, Fortune, Bloomberg, Business Insider and USA Today.
As vice president, Violet PR said, Forrest will focus on leading its growing team and identifying new growth areas, while continuing to oversee media relations, social media and content development campaigns for clients.
“Christina is an integral part of Violet PR’s growth and success,” said April Mason, the firm’s president. “Not only has she successfully implemented award-winning media relations and social media campaigns for clients, but she’s helped attract and manage our growing team of young PR professionals.”
Forrest holds a bachelor’s in communication with a concentration in public relations from Monmouth University, where she graduated with honors, according to a news release. She also served as an associate judge for the PRSA-NY Big Apple awards in 2022, the PRSA-NJ Pyramid awards in 2022, 2021 and 2019 and the Stevie Awards in 2020, while she was named a Top 40 Under 40 PR Professional by the NJ Ad Club and a Rising Star by PRSA-NJ.
“Since joining Violet PR in 2014 as the firm’s first full-time hire, I am so proud that we have grown into one of the nation’s top boutique PR firms by helping clients that are making a positive impact on the world,” Forrest said. “I look forward to future successes and providing leadership that makes us better than we were the day before.”
