A nearly 80,000-square-foot school property in Burlington County is being marketed for lease as administrators prepare to close the facility later this year, Wolf Commercial Real Estate said.
The real estate services firm said Thursday that it had been appointed exclusive agent to market and lease F.V. Evans Elementary School, located at 400 Route 73 in Marlton. The facility consists of more than 78,213 square feet on nearly 12 acres.
The local district plans to close the Evans School at the end of June, WCRE said, touting the property’s campus-like atmosphere with 41 classrooms, 6,248-square-foot gym, 2,172-square-foot library, 87 parking spaces and multiple fields and play areas.
“WCRE is proud to partner with Evesham Township Board of Education as our latest institutional relationship in Southern New Jersey,” Chris Henderson and Jason Wolf, WCRE’s institutional specialist team, said in a joint statement. “We look forward to applying our WCRE 360 marketing approach to find a new user for this highly desirable property.”
The school has undergone several additions and renovations, including the addition of a new wing in summer 2000, the firm said in a news release. Four years later, a new playground was built, while the interior has been constantly updated and refreshed, including new roofing during the summer of 2011.
“We were searching for experienced commercial real estate firms who were knowledgeable about local demographics and school properties,” Evesham Township School District Business Administrator John Recchinti said in a prepared statement. “WCRE stood out because of their extensive experience working with schools and a breadth of knowledge of the local real estate market and community.
“They also understood our mission and showed sensitivity concerning our position and desires.”
