Woodmont Properties has announced a flurry of new hires and promotions in support of a development pipeline with more than $2 billion in commercial and multifamily projects.
In a news release, the Fairfield-based firm said the moves include the appointment of Blaise Lucas as vice president of accounting. He comes to the role with nearly 20 years of real estate accounting experience and will oversee Woodmont’s financial policies, provide direction for all accounting functions and ensure proper financial controls are in place.
Before joining Woodmont, he served as senior vice president and controller at Vornado Realty Trust, held roles at Turner Construction Co. and Deloitte LLP and led his own firm, Lucas Financial, the news release said. He holds an accounting degree from Ramapo College of New Jersey and is a licensed CPA.
Woodmont, whose pipeline spans several Northeast and Southern markets, also detailed several recent promotions to support its growth plans, including:
- Louis DeVos to senior vice president of property and commercial asset management
- Melanie Diaz to vice president of business operations and system integration
- Chris Camy to vice president of marketing
- John O’Donnell to director of portfolio operations
- Ty’ya Pettis to director of strategic marketing and communications
- Nicole Erbaio to director of property systems and compliance
“These promotions demonstrate our focus on leveraging top talent to drive Woodmont’s continued success,” said Cynthia Gonzalez, Woodmont’s chief people officer. “By recognizing and empowering impactful contributors, we’re enhancing our operational strength and positioning our teams and company for even greater achievements as we move forward.”
Woodmont also welcomed Danielle Versnel as asset coordinator and Cole Kreshpane as assistant project manager with Woodmont Industrial Partners, its industrial real estate arm. Versnel began her career in hospitality with Concord Hospitality Enterprises before transitioning to real estate, boasting experience with both commercial and residential assets after having worked with AVE by Korman Communities and JP Management LLC.
She holds a bachelor’s in business administration from Montclair State University, the news release said. As asset coordinator, she supports industrial asset management operations, coordinating tasks related to property management, lease administration, financial reporting and marketing.
Kreshpane, for his part, previously served as an assistant purchasing agent for Hunter Roberts Construction Group in New York City. A Duke University alum, he holds a master’s degree in business management from the Fuqua School of Business and a bachelor’s in political science.
Woodmont added that, as assistant project manager, Kreshpane manages design and construction service solicitations, quality control of on-site activities, proposal evaluations, permit liaising, utility delivery and value engineering opportunities across Woodmont’s industrial portfolio, the firm said.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Blaise and our new professionals, while also celebrating the achievements of our longtime team members,” said Daniel Miller, Woodmont’s chief operating officer and chief financial officer. “Attracting and retaining top talent has been pivotal to our growth and reflects our commitment to innovation. Each individual brings a unique skill set that enhances different areas of our business, and we look forward to their contributions as we continue expanding throughout the Northeast and South.”
Woodmont’s development pipeline includes more than 3,000 rental homes, 800 senior living units and 5 million square feet of industrial space in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Florida and Texas.
