Woodmont Properties is hailing the lease-up of one of its newest luxury residential properties — a 220-unit apartment community in Bayonne.
The four-story property, Woodmont Bay Club, opened its doors late last spring, bringing new life to a site off West 54th Street in the northwestern corner of the city. The developer touted the milestone while highlighting the building’s waterfront views of the Newark Bay and Manhattan skyline, along with its upscale design and a long list of amenities.
“From the very start, we knew we had something very special in Bayonne with Woodmont Bay Club and we’re thrilled that the community of Bayonne and surrounding region has echoed this sentiment,” said Stephen Santola, executive vice president and general counsel of Woodmont Properties. “With dozens of acres of greenery and with easy access to walking paths and stunning water views, this community has ample outdoor space, which has quickly become an in-demand feature that today’s residents are seeking.”
Spanning four acres, Woodmont Bay Club features layouts ranging from studios to three-bedroom apartments as large as 1,500 square feet, according to a news release. Amenities include a rooftop terrace, a modern strength and cardio center, business center and game room, along with a private parking garage, a pool and sundeck area.
Residents of Woodmont Bay Club have immediate access to 140 acres of open space, comprising two public parks that offer almost three miles of walkable waterfront, Woodmont said. The property, which was previously home to a well-known catering hall and night club, is also close to Hudson-Bergen Light Rail service and highways such as Interstate 78 and the New Jersey Turnpike.
“Woodmont Bay Club is truly a magnificent community that elevates every aspect of the living experience,” said Lewis Zlotnick, president of the Fairfield-based development firm. “Our strong leasing activity is a testament to the hard work and superior service provided by our outstanding on-site management team, who offered virtual and 3D tours during the shutdown and worked tirelessly to help our prospective residents find their dream home.”
