Larken Associates has named a new human resource director to help guide its Branchburg-based team of 150 employees.

In the new role, Barney O. Drew will focus on developing and implementing a strategy for what’s known as human capital management as well as a framework to support the company’s expansion and growth plans, according to a news release. He joins Larken’s executive leadership team with more than 30 years of experience in human resources across industries such as construction, industrial services, automotive manufacturing, transportation and warehousing.
Drew will work closely with Larken Associates Chief Operating Officer Lenny Tartamella.

Prior to joining Larken Associates, Drew was vice president for human resources for Party Rental Ltd. in Hasbrouck Heights, where he reported directly to the president. In that role, he oversaw the HR strategy for more than 800 full-time employees and up to 700 seasonal workers.
Drew also served as the human resource and safety director at Harsco Infrastructure Americas and director of employee relations at Lafarge North America. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan, where he earned a bachelor’s in economics, and also holds an MBA from Michigan State University.
