A business law firm has leased more than 5,900 sq. ft. at Court Plaza, Alfred Sanzari Enterprises’ three-building office complex in downtown Hackensack.
Sanzari, which is based in the city, said Newman, Simpson & Cohen LLP is taking space at Court Plaza North at 25 Main St. The deal places the multispecialty law firm directly across from the Bergen County Courthouse and Administrative Complex, where it joins a host of other practices within the 335,000-square-foot property about a mile from Interstate 80.
Alfred Sanzari Enterprises Vice President of Leasing and Marketing Stephen Jennings represented ownership in house, with legal services provided by Winne Banta Basralian & Kahn PC. Alexander Anderson Real Estate Group’s Josh Folco represented the tenant in the 5,909-square-foot lease.
“For today’s legal business, it’s critically important that our office space elevates the services and convenience we provide to our clients,” said Daniel P. Simpson, a partner at Newman Simpson. “We are excited to begin the next chapter of our firm’s story and leverage all that makes Court Plaza unique to bring our business to the next level.”
In announcing the deal, Sanzari noted that the law firm focuses on banking and finance, corporate law and transactions, litigation and dispute resolution, real estate and trust and estates.
“Court Plaza has a proven reputation in the market for providing an experience that matches the expectations of today’s businesses,” Jennings said. “Its location matched with amenities and on-site property management puts businesses in a beneficial position and allows them to best serve their respective clientele. We’re thrilled to welcome Newman, Simpson & Cohen LLP, to Court Plaza and are happy to support them as they enter this new chapter of the firm’s history.”
