Larken Associates has completed and leased up a collection of 120 new apartments in Warren County, marking another milestone for its fast-growing residential portfolio.
The developer, which is based in Branchburg, welcomed the first residents to its Monte View at Pohatcong property in late 2024 after breaking ground about a year earlier. It found success at the complex, located at 1001 Monte View Drive, thanks in part to its luxury amenities and a location just off Interstate 78 and a mile from the Pennsylvania border.
Larken’s multifamily portfolio has grown by 40 percent and more than 1,100 units over the past five years.
“Our focus on quality construction and fostering community have always been key to our success in multifamily development,” said David Gardner, the firm’s CEO and president. “This achievement with Monte View illustrates the incredible talent of our entire team, and we’re proud to celebrate this milestone as we continue to grow our Larken Living portfolio.”
The company noted that the property’s one- and two-bedroom apartments are spread across three multistory, garden-style buildings and one four-story elevator building. It also has a central clubhouse with a heated outdoor pool with a tanning ledge, a fully equipped fitness center, a covered outdoor pavilion with a lounge, grilling stations, a bark park and a tot lot with sensory-sensitive playground equipment, among others.
The next addition to Larken’s residential portfolio will be Trailside Village, a 21-building, 420-unit project in Forks Township, Pennsylvania, the developer said. Slated for completion in 2026, the development marks the company’s largest and most ambitious project to date.
