Eastman Cos. has secured a new tenant for a prominent office property in Livingston, leasing nearly 12,000 square feet to a national law firm.
According to CBRE, which represented ownership in the deal, The Eisenhower at 290 West Mount Pleasant Ave. is the new home of Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani LLP’s New Jersey team. The practice, which has offices in all 50 states, will occupy 11,500 square feet at the roughly 384,000-square-foot campus.
CBRE’s Jon Meisel, Erin Wenzler and Dan Casey lead the leasing team, while Bill Montana of Savills represented Gordon Rees.
“The Eisenhower continues to attract strong tenants who view the building as the best option for Class A office space in the Livingston area,” Meisel said. “After an exhaustive search of the market, The Eisenhower proved to be the best choice for GRSM due to its strong, stable ownership, unmatched on-site amenities and efficient layouts ideal for a law practice.”
In a news release, CBRE noted that The Eisenhower has amenities such as a 220-seat auditorium with modern audio and video equipment, more than 10 conference rooms, a parking deck, new electric car chargers, a full-service cafeteria, multiple fitness options and other amenities. Eastman also recently completed a new, fully furnished coworking suite that is available to occupiers looking for small flexible spaces with short lease terms.
Tenants, meantime, can walk to an adjacent retail property that includes Starbucks, Blaze Pizza, Shake Shack and Sombrero Tacoria. Nearby highways include interstates 280, 80 and 287, providing easy access to the New Jersey Turnpike and the Garden State Parkway, plus destinations such as Newark Liberty International Airport and New York City.
