The owner of a Wall Township retail center has secured a new tenant, leasing nearly 1,600 square feet to a growing pizza chain in the region.

According to CBRE, which represented the landlord, Amano Pizza will occupy the former Frutta Bowls space at Wall Promenade at 1919 Route 35. The 10-year, 1,585-square-foot deal marks a new location for a chain with existing restaurants in Matawan and South Amboy, according to its website, giving it strong visibility along the Route 35 retail corridor.

CBRE’s Marta Person Villa completed the lease on behalf of RT. 35 Wall Promenade LLC. She noted that Amano, with its Fisare de d’Oro pizza, won the top prize in the nontraditional pie category at last month’s International Pizza Challenge in Las Vegas.

“We are pleased to welcome Amano Pizza to Wall Promenade,” Person Villa said. “The addition of a popular dining concept further enhances the property’s tenant mix and provides another convenient option for the surrounding community.”
