Colliers has named Charles Calvert as a managing director in its fast-growing Princeton office, the real estate services firm announced Tuesday.
Calvert, who will focus on office leasing and retail properties, will work alongside Executive Managing Director Charlie Hatfield. He joins Colliers from SVN Ahia Commercial Real Estate, where he advised stakeholders on leases, sales, purchases and investment opportunities, specializing in the disposition of retail properties, leading site selection, leasing, store buildouts and relocations and land development.
“Princeton is a real area of focus for Colliers and we’re thrilled to add Charles to our growing practice,” said Dennis Waggner, an executive managing director with the firm and its New Jersey market leader. “The experience that Charles brings across landlord and tenant representation is an invaluable addition to our firm.”
Prior to his real estate career, Calvert was a sales executive serving as a North American regional director for luxury goods company Montblanc, regional vice president for luxury watches and jewelry company Birks Group and director for Tiffany & Co., according to a news release. He holds an MBA from Temple University and a bachelor’s from Penn State University.
“The Princeton area has historically been an attractive destination for companies given its proximity to both New York City and Philadelphia, and because of the world-class talent that the region produces,” Calvert said. “I’m excited to leverage my experience to help Colliers continue expanding its footprint in the area.”
Colliers also announced that Adam Taylor has joined the firm as an associate in its Woodbridge office, working under the investment sales team led by Senior Managing Director Jacklene Chesler. He is focused on seeking potential buyers and helping service existing accounts.
Taylor holds an MBA from American University and a bachelor’s from the University of Delaware. He most recently was a commercial real estate sales associate at Prominent Properties Sotheby’s International Realty.
