Structure Tone has hired Michael Cortese as a senior project manager with its New Jersey team.
According to a news release, Cortese brings more than 27 years of construction experience on major complex projects throughout the greater New York City area, with a specialization in aviation. To that end, he has led several efforts at Newark Liberty International Airport for clients including United, Delta and SAS Airlines.
In his new role at Structure Tone, Cortese will provide lead project management services for some of the company’s largest, most complex projects, the news release said. His responsibilities include building and nurturing client relationships, managing on-site staff and mentoring and developing team members.
“Mike is a seasoned construction professional who brings creative solutions to his clients, partners and project teams,” said Michael Farrell, Structure Tone’s regional vice president. “We’re excited to have his guidance and leadership on our projects and look forward to expanding more into the aviation sector.”
Cortese has a bachelor’s in civil and environmental engineering and a master’s in civil engineering from Rutgers University.
