Leasing is underway at a new 81-unit luxury apartment building in the Whippany section of Hanover, part of a sweeping redevelopment project designed by DMR Architects.
The firm on Wednesday touted the debut of 34 Eden River Park, describing interest as robust in an area that mostly consists of larger single-family homes. Located off Whippany Road and less than a mile from Route 10, the property has a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom units as well as one- and two-bedroom-plus-den floorplans, along with a series of upscale common spaces.

“As the latest new residential rental product available in Morris County, it was important for it to stand out through its amenities package that includes spacious interior common areas, along with the luxurious outdoor communal plaza spaces,” said Kurt Vierheilig, director of design for DMR Architects. “Today’s rentals need to be designed as immersive experiences that feel like a vacation getaway. The location is close to amazing restaurants, work and shopping, a critical benefit.”
Amenities at 34 Eden River Park include a lobby-level residents lounge and clubroom and an outdoor lounge with a sundeck, a pergola, a water feature and fireplace, according to a news release. The property also has an outdoor pool with a hot tub and a 1,000-square-foot fitness center.
As DMR noted in a 2021 announcement, the building is part of a mixed-use, 88-acre development that will bring nearly 1,000 residential units, 80,000 square feet of retail space, hotels and other uses to create Hanover’s first walkable downtown. When completed, River Park Town Center will have more than 20 acres of public recreation space including the amphitheater and a park, community spaces and structured, curbside and surface lot parking options.
