A life sciences firm has expanded in Springfield with two additional leases in the township, in a set of newly announced deals by Sheldon Gross Realty.
The brokerage team represented Evergreen Theragnostics in the transactions on Commerce Drive, noting that they’re on the same street as the company’s headquarters. The leases mark the fourth and fifth deals that Sheldon Gross executive vice presidents Barbara Gross and Bob Nathin have completed for the client, including the purchase of the property on which it built its main office and modern manufacturing facility, following its 2019 founding.
“Each time we’ve needed space, often on a tight deadline, Barbara and Bob were able to provide us with input on appropriate properties — including some that hadn’t been marketed publicly,” said James Cook, founder of Evergreen Theragnostics. “They understand our requirements, and always have their finger on the pulse of the market.”
Prior to founding the biotechnology firm, Cook was chief operating officer of a Europe-based radiopharmaceutical company that also grew in New Jersey with Sheldon Gross Realty’s help. That included the purchase of a 15,000-square-foot building in Millburn that became the U.S. headquarters and a manufacturing facility for Cook’s former employer, giving way to the purchase of an adjacent office building to accommodate the rapid growth of that company, which has since been acquired by Novartis Pharmaceuticals.
“The pharmaceutical industry is a key economic driver throughout New Jersey, and radiopharmaceuticals are a quickly growing segment of the industry,” Gross said. “We’ve enjoyed our long relationship with James and are looking forward to this next chapter as he grows his company in this important pharma sector.”
