KWARTLER NAMED PRINCIPAL AT AVISON YOUNG
Avison Young has named Alex Kwartler as its newest principal in New Jersey, recognizing one of its day-to-day leaders who has also played a key role in the company’s growth in the state.
Kwartler, who is based in Morristown, joined the real estate services firm
in 2014. Since then, his role has expanded from property management to supervising operations in the firm’s New Jersey offices for the last six years, including financial reporting, budget forecasting, revenue projections, recruitment and liaising with brokers on their transactions.
He will now take on an expanded leadership role

At the time, Kwartler oversaw
the process for the acquisition, which served as a major step for
the company’s presence in New Jersey, creating a second office
in Metropark, adding several new members and bolstering the firm’s tenant representation service line. In 2015, he was named Avison Young New Jersey’s most valuable support professional.
“He is a proven leader, and this promotion is a natural next step for him at this point in his career,” Heller said. “This is a well-deserved promotion for Alex and I look forward to seeing what he will accomplish in the coming years as principal.”

The company added that his years of project management experience have allowed him to foresee potential risk areas and provide alternate solutions when needed.
For ADP, IMG and Walmart, he helped define a strategy and process for their facility projects around the country, resulting in a more streamlined process and improved oversight for the organizations.

Saxum has hired Brett Rubin as a director of development to lead its growing multifamily division, part of a pipeline that has surpassed $1 billion in total capitalization.
The firm, which is based in Summit, said Rubin brings more than 20
years of industry experience tied to the entitlement, development and construction of over 4,500 multifamily units. He joins Saxum from Gemdale USA, where he was head of development and was responsible for leading the organization’s East Coast design, development and construction activities.

Denholtz Properties has hired Loretta Speranzo as a paralegal, in an effort to further enhance and streamline its in-house leasing operations.
The Red Bank-based firm said Speranzo brings
nearly 30 years of paralegal experience.

role, she will provide in-house legal services
to Denholtz
Properties’ leasing team as it executes new deals,
renewals and amendments, as well
as other leasing processes across its commercial portfolio of more than 4.2 million square feet.
Speranzo joins Denholtz from Wilentz, Goldman & Spitzer PA, where she was a paralegal who was responsible for managing commercial and residential real estate transactions on behalf of the firm’s clients, according to a news release. Prior to her time with Wilentz, she also served as a legal assistant for the New York State Supreme Court, a legal assistant for Anthony J. Castellano PC and a legal secretary for Orin J. Cohen, Esq.
