TURNER ANNOUNCES NEW LEADER OF NEW JERSEY REGION
Turner Construction has tapped Lawrence
Boresen as its new leader
for the New Jersey region, announcing his promotion to vice president
Lawrence Boresen and general manager of
its office in the Somerset section of Franklin.
An industry veteran of 26 years, Boresen joined Turner in 1999, according to a news release. In
the new role, he will have overall responsibility supporting the company’s clients across business functions including field operations, sales, estimating and procurement.
“After careful consideration, we are pleased to have Larry guide
our efforts to continue to serve our clients in the New Jersey region,” said Christopher Beck, Turner’s senior vice president. “Larry’s leadership and passion for excellence make him the ideal candidate to manage our team.”
Boresen has held several key roles for Turner, including procurement manger, business development manager, construction executive and operations manager, the news release said. He has also been integral to
the successful delivery of projects such as L+M Development Partners’ restoration of the Hahne & Co. building in Newark, LG Electronics’ North American headquarters in Englewood Cliffs and the renovation of Barclays’ campus in Whippany.
Boresen holds a bachelor’s degree
in architecture from Northeastern University. The company noted that he will succeed Mark Romanski, who has led the New Jersey office since 2012 and will assume a new role with Turner’s Global Development Team, in which he will help grow the service
offerings that the company provides its clients from a global perspective.
“Mark has been a great mentor and friend for many years,” Boresen said. “His passion and commitment to Turner and the New Jersey business unit
are unmatched and we are very grateful for the leadership and contributions that Mark
has provided.
Going forward,
I am extremely
excited and fortunate to have the opportunity to build upon the strengths that he has helped establish for us in New Jersey, which enable
us to consistently deliver for our clients.”
