PROJECT SPOTLIGHT
Bridge Point Somerset, a 1.2 million-square-foot, three- building industrial complex located at 101 Randolph Road in Franklin Township, Somerset County, New Jersey. The Class A Industrial buildings are anchored by a 600,000 SF Amazon distribution warehouse. The Petillo project team accomplished the aggressive 12-month project construction schedule starting in July 2019, with an on-schedule completion of July 2020. The 72-acre
site required 650,000 cubic yards of soil and rock to be
excavated then redistributed onsite to meet design grades. Three storm water quality basins were installed to manage storm water runoff and environmental requirements. Six miles of utility pipe was installed by the Petillo Pipe crews, to facilitate the project infrastructure. The GOMACO 3000 slip form machine, which Petillo utilizes on most projects, installed 7 miles of curb and 300,000 SF of dolly pads. 65,000 tons of bituminous pavement was installed
to complete the project roadways and parking areas. As part of the owner’s commitment to improve community infrastructure, the Petillo Team constructed 1 mile of road improvements, including two new traffic signals, at Weston Canal Road, Randolph Road and School House Road. The overall project met all the owners’ expectations, for safety, quality and schedule.
