The annual Jersey City Summit will mark a milestone next month when it returns to the iconic Harborside campus, where it’s expected to draw nearly 1,300 attendees for one of the state’s largest gatherings for commercial real estate.
Hosted by roundtable&advisory, the event is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a program that includes panel discussions on several major asset classes and fireside chats with executives from Kushner and Related. The May 15 conference is also slated to include remarks from Jersey City Mayor and gubernatorial candidate Steven Fulop, all of which will take place for the second straight year at The 601W Cos.’ Harborside complex on Hudson Street.
“We’re thrilled to partner with The 601W Cos. again to host our special 10th anniversary Jersey City Summit back at Harborside,” said Sherif Abouzied, the event’s founding principal. “Happily, the summit has grown into a must-attend homecoming for the region’s top real estate and investment firms (and) a snapshot of predictions and strategies from the region’s largest, most admired investors, owners and developers.”
Formally known as The Jersey City Summit for Real Estate Investment, Placemaking & Innovation, the daylong program drew some 1,250 attendees last year, nearly triple the turnout of the inaugural event in 2015. That has made it one of the industry’s can’t-miss conferences for attendees, speakers and sponsors that have become fixtures over the past decade.
As he did last year, Abouzied pointed to the major New York developers that are participating as they expand into Jersey City, a group that includes the likes of Related and Tishman Speyer.
“We are thrilled to see so many of Manhattan’s largest real estate players (and) families announce major projects here in Jersey City,” he said. “It’s a testament to the ranking Jersey City has with global institutional capital and funds. We’re delighted to have the summit play its part in highlighting Jersey City as a regional darling and accelerating its growth over the last 10 years. Growing from (what we considered) the ‘Most Exciting and Energetic Domestic Emerging Market’ to the ‘Most Exciting Growth Market.’”
The summit begins at 7:30 a.m. with a breakfast reception, followed by the chair’s welcome remarks at 8:15 a.m., kicking off a day of speeches, presentations, panel discussions and networking through 5 p.m. The full agenda and schedule are available at https://investjersey.city/2025/.
