JLL has named a new head of project and development services in New Jersey.
The real estate services firm on Monday announced the promotion for Andrea Alexander, a senior vice president who has been with the New Jersey team since 2004. Her responsibilities include servicing clients, working with the brokerage teams to cross-sell business, managing a diverse staff of project managers, new business development and overseeing all project and development services activities in the state.
Alexander will report to Terry Harris, managing director and chief operating officer of the firm’s suburban tristate and Northeast industrial regions.
“Andrea Alexander has been a crucial member of our project management team for years,” Harris said. “She brings extensive office and retail multi-site expertise and has overseen the management of many of JLL’s most important projects. She is a natural leader who delivers every day for JLL’s clients, project managers and brokerage teams.”
Alexander has more than 20 years of experience in project management, specializing in both retail and office projects, according to a news release. She has overseen the construction of more than 1 million square feet in projects as diverse as a broadcast studio for live video game competitions to a flagship store for T-Mobile International A.G. in Times Square.
Her other work includes multiple automotive projects for clients that include Mercedes-Benz USA, Maserati S.p.A. and Audi of America.
Alexander joined JLL in 2004 as a project manager with its New Jersey project and development services group and later served as senior project manager and vice president, the news release said. She was promoted to senior vice president in June 2017.
Prior to joining JLL, Alexander was the business development manager for Turner Interiors in New York, where she was responsible for sourcing and securing interior renovation projects, many of which were 1 million square feet in size and $100 million in construction volume for Fortune 500 companies and retailers.
She received a bachelor’s in civil engineering from Rutgers College of Engineering and earned her master’s in business administration from Fordham University, JLL said. She is a licensed real estate salesperson in New Jersey and is certified as a LEED Green Associate.
Alexander is also a gala committee member for Special Olympics New York and is a committee member for the United Way of Northern New Jersey’s Annual Commercial Real Estate Luncheon. She serves as philanthropy chair for the JLL Women’s Business Network and organizes charitable contributions for the JLL community at large.
