Kimmerle Group has made four new hires in recent months as part of an ongoing expansion of its design, real estate, planning, development and branding practice.
According to the Harding Township-based firm, the new additions include Manuel Sia as an associate in the production department and Leighann Laurencelle as a junior designer in the interiors practice. Meantime, Marleni Galindo joins as an account manager for Kimmerle Workspace, while Kimberly Allman manages all marketing and communications and administrative efforts for the team.
“Kimmerle Group is proud to welcome Manuel, Leighann, Marleni and Kimberly, whose expertise will benefit the firm as we tackle major project assignments for new and legacy clients across a variety of sectors,” said George J. Kimmerle, a partner and founding president of Kimmerle Group. “As many clients look ahead to post-pandemic recovery, we are experiencing significant project work in the workspace and medical arenas, and our new team members are uniquely positioned to help the firm meet these demands.”
Sia joined Kimmerle Group from Ted Moudis Associates, where he spent nearly 15 years specializing in corporate interiors in New York City, according to a news release. He will help lead Kimmerle Newman Architects’ production department and focus on code, cost and quality control, having recently worked on Evercore’s new office at 20 Independence Blvd. in Warren, as well as new spaces for Torrent Pharmaceuticals, Sunovion Pharmaceuticals, Omnicare, Schlesinger Group, Lucosky Brookman, Paychex and Signature Acquisitions.
Sia holds a bachelor’s in architecture from the University of Santo Thomas in Manila, Philippines.
“His design acuity and technical knowhow allows him to provide advanced quality control for the firm’s clients,” Kimmerle wrote. “Manuel has a passion for leading staff mentoring and training towards quality improvement of design and contract documents. His multiple talent sets are dedicated to quality delivery and technical excellence.”
Laurencelle, for her part, brings several years of experience in interior design and architecture to her role as a junior designer, in which she supports all design and production efforts for the firm’s projects, leveraging her strong relationships within the industry to provide top-quality results for clients. Her current work for Kimmerle includes construction documentation sets for clients, renderings, finish selection and specification, along with the creation of existing due diligence and conditions reports.
The firm added that Laurencelle’s current and recent clients include Paychex, Signature Acquisitions and Northwestern Mutual. Prior to Kimmerle, she was a facility analyst for corporate requirements and other space planning needs at The Aztec Corp.
Laurencelle holds a bachelor’s in interior design as well as a master of architecture degree, both from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
As an account manager for Kimmerle Workspace, Galindo will focus on the design and specification of furniture, fixtures and equipment and furnishing needs for the firm’s clients, applying her 15 years of experience as an interior designer and project architect, the news release said. She recently started managing the installation of a new office design for The Score and working on furniture elements for a new media center and library for the private parochial school Villa Walsh Academy in Morristown.
Galindo joined Kimmerle from Jonas Inc., a luxury, custom upholstery firm where she spent several years as a project manager, leading design efforts for a variety of market segments, the firm said. She led the fabrication of custom furniture for Tiffany & Co.’s new stores worldwide, creating new furniture from scratch for the brand’s redesigned sales floors in the U.S., United Kingdom and Asia.
She holds a bachelor’s in management from Rutgers Business School and an associate’s degree in applied science, interior design, from the New York School of Interior Design.
Allman, Kimmerle Group’s marketing and communications assistant, coordinates public relations and marketing efforts while managing the firm’s social media and networking outreach, the news release said. She will support the company partners, department heads and managing directors with project and marketing communications, including web and social media updates, and take the lead on management of corporate and association meetings and events.
Her recent arrival at Kimmerle follows a successful career in hospitality and event management through administrative and operational opportunities with known private country clubs in the area, the firm said. With a bachelor’s in event and hospitality management from Johnson & Wales University, her efforts have included support for social and corporate operations, business development and client relations.
