NAI James E. Hanson has announced the addition of two property managers to its Teterboro-based team.
According to the real estate services firm, the new hires include Hovannes Bakalian, who joins its ranks after positions with Progressive Building Management and Greek Development. Andrew J. Martinez, meantime, comes to NAI Hanson from SL Green Realty Corp., having held multiple roles with the New York-based real estate investment trust.
“At NAI James E. Hanson, we have been focused on growing the next generation of dedicated and experienced property managers,” said Ivette Correa, the firm’s chief operating officer. “We welcome Hovannes and Andrew to our team as we know their backgrounds provide the tools they need to succeed here and help us exceed our clients’ expectations across our property management portfolio of over 6 million square feet of space spanning New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, Connecticut and other states throughout the United States.”
As a senior portfolio manager with Progressive Building Management, Bakalian focused on residential and office properties across 32 buildings in central New Jersey, NAI Hanson said. Previously, he was an industrial property manager with Greek Development, where he inspected properties, managed tenant move-ins and move-outs, reviewed lease comments and assisted the accounting department with reconciliations and collections.
Bakalian is a licensed realtor and has a bachelor’s degree in business marketing from Seton Hall University. He is fluent in Armenian and English.
Martinez, for his part, was an assistant property manager with SL Green, focusing on reviewing accruals, reporting variances to ownership, creating overtime and payroll reports for two buildings, conducting tenant walkthroughs and reviewing and renewing service contracts, according to a news release. He also held the role of portfolio administrator for the REIT, overseeing team budgets for seven office buildings and approving invoices and purchase orders.
The Harrington Park resident graduated from Franklin & Marshall College in 2015 with a bachelor’s in business, organization and society.
