Some of the state’s newest residential communities shared the spotlight last week, headlining dozens of honorees at an annual banquet hosted by the New Jersey Builders Association.
The Sales and Marketing Awards, which marked its 33rd year, recognized many of the homebuilding industry’s most creative and successful sales and marketing professionals in the Garden State. Along with individual categories in marketing, architectural design, remodeling and individual creative achievements, the NJBA highlighted seven Community of the Year recipients:
- Adult Community: Venue At Lighthouse Station in Barnegat (Lennar)
- Attached Community Under $500,000: Madison Park At Hazlet (Ronique Homes LLC)
- Attached Community Over $500,000: Venue At Cobblestone Creek in Lawrence Township (Lennar)
- Community of 30 Homes or Less: Brownstones At Red Bank (Roger Mumford Homes)
- Mid-Rise/High-Rise Community: 365 Ocean in Long Branch (Mark Built Homes)
- Rental Community with 200 Apartments or Less: SOMA in Somerville (Sterling Properties)
- Rental Community with over 200 Apartments: Woodmont Bay Club At Bayonne (Woodmont Properties)
The Sept. 29 program, which was held virtually this year, drew professionals from the advertising, sales, marketing, media and homebuilding industries, among others. Both builders and companies that supply products and services to the industry, are eligible for a SAM Award.
“The individuals and companies honored with a SAM award play an integral role in the homebuilding industry and deserve recognition for their exceptional efforts to promote new and exciting residential projects,” said Jeff Kolakowski, the association’s CEO. “Their ability to create innovative and lasting sales and marketing designs that help our members build and sell homes in a competitive marketplace is top notch. Congratulations to all of the SAM award winners and finalists for providing services and delivering products of the highest quality.”
The full list of winners is available on the NJBA’s website. The program’s biggest honorees included 365 Ocean, a 57-unit beachfront condominium project in Long Branch, which was developed by Mark Built Homes and marketed by CB New Homes.
The developer and marketing team celebrated the project’s 11 awards in a separate news release this week.
“Every year the SAM Awards showcases the best and brightest that our industry has to offer, so just being among the nominees is an honor in and of itself, and winning 11 awards is an incredible achievement for our team,” said David Schoner, vice president of CB New Homes. “We are lucky enough to work with an exceptional home builder in Mark Built Homes that sets high standards for its projects and prioritizes the satisfaction of its home buyers above all else. That makes our job so much easier and allows our sales and marketing professionals to really shine in their role.”
Executives with Sterling Properties, which recently opened the 69-unit SOMA project in Somerville, credited the development and marketing team behind the new luxury property. That includes Director of Sales and Marketing Nicholas Hollenbeck, who was recognized as NJBA’s Leasing Marketing Director of the Year.
“I am so proud of the hard work and dedication of the team at Sterling who all play an integral role in making our developments so successful,” said Steven Katz of Sterling Properties. “This recognition for the success of SOMA and the hard work of Nicholas Hollenbeck is representative of the exceptional talent on our team, and their ability to bring best-in-class properties to market.”
