NRBP set to host two-day real estate forum with virtual, in-person program

Business and commercial real estate leaders in Newark are set to gather next week for a popular event that showcases the city’s growing construction and economic development pipeline.

Hosted by the Newark Regional Business Partnership, the annual Real Estate Market Forum will take place over two days in both a virtual and in-person format. The online portion is slated for March 1 and will feature a market forecast presentation, while the organization will welcome attendees the following day to Nico Kitchen+Bar in Newark for panel discussions with leading developers and professionals involved in local real estate projects.

The schedule is as follows:

Day 1 (10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Tuesday, March 1 – virtual on Zoom)

Market Forecast: Richard Kasmin, Chief Economist, New Jersey Economic Development Authority

Gateway Center Renovation: Matt Flath, Vice President, Asset Management, Onyx Equities LLC

NJ Transit Penn Station Improvements Briefing:  Richard Schaefer, Chief Engineer, NJ Transit; and Robin Persad, Chief of Project Management, NJ Transit

Day 2 (9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Wednesday, March 2 – Nico Kitchen + Bar: 1 Center St., Newark)

Panel 1: The Arts, 3 Major Projects in Downtown Newark
