Accounting firm Meisel, Tuteur & Lewis PC has opened the doors to its new 22,000-square-foot headquarters in Roseland, in a project designed by architects with Rotwein+Blake.
According to the practice, the space at 105 Eisenhower Parkway blends modern functionality with artistic design, thanks in large part to the integration of MTL’s extensive personal art collection. That transformed the office into what R+B described as a dynamic, gallery-like environment in which works are on display in every corridor and open area.
The design team contrasted the artwork with a neutral, calming palette with vibrant pops of color in furniture and alcoves, along with amenities such as an expansive café area with collaboration zones and a golf simulator and game area to promote wellness and social interaction among staff.
“From the start the R + B team demonstrated a deep understanding of our vision and needs,” said Michael Lewis, co-managing partner of Meisel, Tuteur & Lewis. “They were incredibly professional, attentive and detail-oriented throughout the entire process. They were able to blend functionality and collaborative areas with stunning design features which has truly impressed all of our clients and visitors.
“One of our favorite spaces is our café which flows into our game room and multisport golf simulator. In this remote work world, this is a space which has made our employees excited about coming into the office. We are grateful for their outstanding service in turning our vision into a space that has absolutely exceeded our expectations.”
According to a project description, the workspace includes glass-front perimeter offices and open-plan areas that allow for natural light to pour into the interior, creating an open, airy atmosphere. Meantime, R+B designed the office’s circulation to enhance the integration of MTL’s artwork, incorporating additional pieces to invite exploration and offering strategic sightlines that ensure a visual connection to art from every vantage point.
The project team also included JLL, Rock Brook, Unity Construction and CFS Group, which spearheaded furniture selection.
