The Rock Brook Consulting Group has promoted two veteran members of its engineering team.
In a news release, the Monroe-based firm said Ryan P. Mullen has risen to the role of vice president after joining its practice more than 10 years ago. He has more than 20 years of professional engineering design experience, having managed more than 1 million square feet of high-profile, award-winning projects such as Barclays’ redesigned campus in the Whippany section of Hanover, Newark’s Gateway Center and ON3 in Nutley.
“His broad understanding of project management has been of immeasurable service to clients in the corporate, commercial, health care, manufacturing and industrial sectors,” Rock Brook wrote in its announcement, adding that Mullen has helped clients achieve certifications under the LEED and WELL rating systems.
“Barclays Financial was so impressed with Ryan’s recent design strategies for their ‘Workplace of the Future’ site that they adopted his standard for their worldwide corporate design footprint,” the firm continued. “His strong client relationships and successful project outcomes have afforded Rock Brook continued repeat business from many top clients.”
In addition to his professional role, Mullen also donates his time to mentoring aspiring engineers through the American Council of Education. He holds a bachelor’s in bio-resource engineering from Rutgers University and is a licensed professional engineer in the state of New Jersey.
Meantime, Rock Brook has promoted Amr Yousef to associate director. The firm touted his 15 years of professional experience in engineering design, including five years in a project management role, adding that he has executed renovations and fit-out projects for clients in the corporate, commercial, manufacturing, industrial and education sectors.
Those include Gateway in Newark, 2 Journal Square Plaza in Jersey City and the LEEP Dual Language Academy in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. Yousef has also helped clients achieve LEED and WELL certifications.
“Amr is a well-respected industry professional and continues to demonstrate a commitment to his clients,” Rock Brook wrote, adding that Yousef “has been an integral part of establishing Rock Brook’s presence in New York City since the first office opened in 2018.”
The firm has since moved to a new location in New York City, from which Yousef will continue to grow the region’s client base and manage projects both in Manhattan and outer boroughs, as well as in northern New Jersey.
He is a licensed engineer in New York and enjoys traveling and cooking.
