Savills has named a new senior director for its Northeast research group, tapping a longtime finance and commercial real estate professional for the role.
In the new post, Marisha Clinton will oversee the firm’s research teams in markets including New York City, New Jersey, Philadelphia and Boston, supporting brokers and national service lines. She comes to the position with more than 21 years of experience, most recently leading Avison Young’s tristate research division.
“Having served as an equity financial analyst at some of Wall Street’s most prestigious firms, as well as leading research for major commercial real estate companies, Marisha brings a unique perspective to our research team,” said Janet Woods, a Savills vice chairman and Northeast region lead. “Her ability to parse through layers of data to showcase real trends will bring tremendous value to our revenue producing professionals and clients.”
Clinton began her commercial real estate career at JLL, where she established the firm’s baseline capital markets research platform and developed a process for capturing and cultivating granular local investment insights, creating best practices and publishing valuable market analysis, according to a news release. She is a certified public accountant and a graduate of Howard University and the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where she earned a bachelor’s in accounting and an MBA with a dual major in finance and strategic management, respectively.
Savills added that Clinton serves on the board of directors of the Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Corp., the nation’s first community development corporation.
