Splendor, the creative agency with strong ties to commercial real estate and other industries, has officially shortened its name to reflect its decades-long movement to a full-service platform.
The Red Bank-based firm announced recently that its moniker no longer includes “Design Group,” as it did for much of its time in business, having transitioned over time from a design studio to one that offers branding, web and marketing to clients across the U.S. and globally. It’s marking the change alongside several major milestones, including its 25th anniversary, a newly renovated office, an expanding team of nearly 20 employees and a lifetime achievement of more than 300 creative and design awards.
“We’re creatives at heart. But for years, we’ve delivered much more than design work,” said Adam Taylor, Splendor’s founder and CEO. “What began as a stable of designers has expanded into a multidisciplinary team of writers, developers, strategists, branding experts and marketers. This change ensures our name aligns with the breadth of services we’ve been delivering — and the future we’re building with our clients.”
The rebrand is also a reflection of the agency’s creative philosophy, the firm said.
“Our mantra is ‘Be Bold or Be Forgotten,’” said Jay Sharfstein, executive creative director and partner. “Beyond crafting dynamic creative, it means helping clients see their business in new ways, uncovering insights, sharpening strategy and messaging and developing integrated campaigns that bring real results. This shift was our way of holding ourselves to that same standard of clarity and growth.”
That mindset is reinforced by the experience of the leadership team, Splendor said, adding that the decision to simplify the name underscores more than just a cosmetic change. It positions the firm to continue building long-term client partnerships, while pursuing bigger opportunities across industries including commercial real estate and architecture, engineering and construction, as well as higher education, manufacturing, technology and professional services.
In real estate, its clients in New Jersey have included the likes of Russo Development, SJP Properties, Onyx Equities, J&L Cos. and Murphy Schiller & Wilkes LLP, part of a niche that comprises both corporate branding and campaigns for individual buildings and projects, among many others.
“One of the things that sets us apart is the caliber of leadership we’ve built here,” said Chris Brignola, executive creative director and partner. “Collectively, our team brings decades of New York City agency experience. That perspective raises the standard for everything we do and ensures our clients benefit from insights shaped at the highest levels of branding, strategy and creative.”
